Koch Chemie are a German brand who strive on their mantra "excellence for experts", prioritising the production of high-quality cleaning and care products for many professional industries, including (but not limited to!) workshop and automotive detailing.
Owner Hans Koch was a trained carpenter who began creating recipes for polishes from the comfort of his own garage in 1968, being dissatisfied with the quality of vehicle care products at the time. He founded Koch Chemie GmbH, soon to be setting new standards for the automotive industry as we know it today. Hans found priority and even love in the details, much like our own founder, and aimed to create products for bringing excellent results with outstanding quality.
By the mid-70s, the company's first commercial products went into serial production, going on to establish themselves as an innovator for vehicle preparation and industrial floor cleaning only a decade later. Koch Chemie is well known for their ProductSystem, categorising their chemical products into 10 product groups by colour and arranged into a periodic table. In addition to this, the Koch Chemie Star range was brought out in 1990, with some of the products in their original recipe still produced and sold today.
Since Koch Chemie's origin in 1968, they've come a long way - grown both in their reputation and popularity as a well-established company in its home country Germany, in addition to the USA and even over here in the UK.
Koch Chemie's ProductSystem is compiled of 10 product groups containing their chemical products. These ten groups are distinguished by the colours they are associated by, and neatly arranged in a periodic table layout as a link to the chemistry involved in the production of these product.

Acid cleaners and rim cleaners are identified in the System by the red found on the bottle. Magic Wheel Cleaner and Reactive Rust Remover are in this collection: MWC is an acid-free wheel cleaner designed with ease and efficiency in mind, and RRR is a pH-neutral cleaner which can be used on wheel rims and other surfaces.

Alkaline cleaners are distinguished within the system by the green colour found on the product. Green Star and Pol Star are in this collection: GS is a highly-concentrated universal cleaner suitable for all surfaces of the vehicle with a little going a long way, and PO is a neutral textile and leather cleaner that offers protection properties as it cleans.

Body and paint products are coded with a solid black, often paired with other colours, found on the packaging. The Headlight Polish Kit and Polish System are in this collection: the Headlight Polish Kit contains two polishes and ancillaries to maintain clear headlights, and the Polish System contains four different polishing cuts in either 250ml or 1L bottles.

Driers and conservers are found by the gold colour on its products. ProtectorWax is in this collection: PW is a conserving wax that has set new standards in protection and durability, giving faded brittle surfaces a second chance while leaving a glossy protective layer behind them following use. Can be used in multiple ways, hot or cold, and even as a quick detailer.

Fragrances are characterised by the colour pink. Fresh Up is in this collection: FU is a odour eliminator that works by enveloping unwanted odours and instead replacing them with a pleasant scent. This odour eliminator works best when grime and odour sources are cleared up prior to application, for that extra fresh factor.

Glass cleaners and water processing formulas are generalised by the colour blue. Allround Surface Cleaner and Clay Spray are in this collection: ASC is a ready-to-use surface cleaner that works to remove dirt and dust from smooth surfaces, and CLS is a low-residue lubricant for use with clay bars and/or pads to lengthen their lifespans.

Leather and interior plastics care are coded by a mint blue colour. Leather Star and Top Star are in this collection: LS is a leather conditioner characterised by its colour intensifying appearance and supple feel without slipperiness, and TS is an effective interior plastic cleaner that also protects the surfaces from dullness and dirt while eliminating static.

Rubber and exterior plastics care are associated with the colour grey. Motorplast and Convertible Roof Sealant are in this collection: MP is an engine conserver where treated parts regain their like-new appearance while resisting temperatures of up to 250ºC, and CV is a high-value waterproof sealant that provides hydrophobic effects.

Shampoos are easily identified with a bright yellow colour. Auto Shampoo and Gentle Snow Foam are in this collection: AS is a high-foaming vehicle shampoo that provides a mild yet thorough clean, and GSF is a cherry-scented snow foam that will create an evenly thick layer of foam to lift dirt from the surface with the option of aggression with GS.

Solvents grab attention with the colour orange. Orange Power and Paint Preparation Spray are in this collection: OP is a natural adhesive remover characterised by its pleasant orange scent, and PPS is an alcohol-based degreaser suitable for use in preparation for waxing or ceramic coating your vehicle by removing any residue of oil, wax or polish.
