London to Brighton EV Rally 2024

Morelli Group attended the sold-out 2024 London to Brighton EV Rally in a green Volkswagen ID Buzz, making a statement for sustainable mobility along with over 100 electric vehicles in the lineup. 

The day began at 7am in Westminster, where all of the cutting-edge electric vehicles would meet up to then start their own journeys onward to Brighton. Our journey in the Buzz would take us over the Westminster Bridge with many iconic sights to be seen, where we would make the rest of the trip through South London and eventually via the M23.

The laidback drive would see us arriving at Brighton at 11:30, with Madeira Drive promenade having been converted into an e-village with many stands displaying the latest in EV technology for the day! We were interviewed by Allison Ferns of BBC Radio Sussex shortly before crossing the rally finish line, where we would join the EV Bodyshops team on their stand.

Throughout the day at the stand, we provided visitors with more information on training courses as well as a free gift bag full of samples, both of which proved popular with the locals and attendees alike.

As the day quietened down, we took a short walk onto Brighton beach to watch the rally's first live panel, Powered Up Panel – hosted by Quentin Willson and accompanied by Europcar and 3ti, where discussions of more sustainable mobility through electric vehicle rental solutions were brought to light.

With a day of sunshine and an electrifying atmosphere, it was an exciting opportunity to join EV enthusiasts on the rally's 4th consecutive year.
